City have clearly upped their xG considerably to nearly 2.5 xG as an average in this 2021/22 season while their xGA has also reduced to under 0.8 xGA

In the 28 games played so far City have outperformed their xG by scoring more goals than an average of 2.5 in from mid season and their average goals scored has also been firmly above 2 goals per game in the 2021/22 season as compared to last season 2020/21. This is also factoring in a slight dip in their last 5 games. However you can see that they’ve gone from strength to strength and picked up from their goals scored in the last ten games of last season.
City have also significantly reduced their goals concdeded (GA) and have maintained their goals conceded in line to their expected goals conceded(xGA) which is firmly below 0.8 goals per game.
