Liverpool vs Real Madrid – Predictor On BalleBaazi: Champions League Final 2021-22

Liverpool are set to face Real Madrid on Saturday night in Paris in the 2021-22 Champions League final.

Both clubs have a glorious history in the competition, with Real Madrid being the most successful side ever, while Liverpool are the third most successful and could become the joint second if they beat Real Madrid and make it seven European Cups.

Who Will Win The Match In Liverpool vs Real Madrid?

It will be a very close game this weekend between Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Liverpool have comparatively had far easier games in the knockout stages as compared to Real. Los Blancos displayed undying spirit and character to keep coming back from behind in every single knockout round. However, the final is going to be a single-legged tie.

Virgil Van Dijk and Fabinho are both fit to play against Real Madrid. However, Thiago Alcantara will likely miss the game due to an Achilles injury. The Spaniard was taken off at halftime against Wolves and he will be a huge miss for Jurgen Klopp’s side as they will prepare to compete against one of the best and most experienced midfield trios in the last decade.

Real Madrid have been boosted by the return of David Alaba, who is fit to start the final. Apart from Alaba, there aren’t any serious doubts for Carlo Ancelotti to worry about.

With Thiago in the side, Liverpool’s chances of winning were higher. However, with him extremely unlikely to feature in the final, Real Madrid’s probability of winning has increased.

It will be a close game as both managers are tactically astute, however, it’s difficult to predict the result, and considering Liverpool’s injury woes, Real Madrid are the favourites, but only slightly.

Will Karim Benzema Break Cristiano Ronaldo’s Record Of 17 UCL Goals?

Karim Benzema has had an exceptional season. At the start of the season, expectations were low for Real Madrid as the club is going through a transition period. However, Karim Benzema’s form this season has arguably been the most crucial factor behind Madrid’s great season.

Currently, Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for the most goals in a single Champions League campaign. The Portuguese scored 17 in the record-breaking season a few years ago.

Benzema is on 15 goals right now, and to break Ronaldo’s record, the Frenchman will need to score a hattrick against Liverpool. As brilliant as it sounds, the likelihood of this happening is low as Benzema will come up against a solid Liverpool defensive unit and a world-class goalkeeper in Alisson.

Will Benzema Score One Or More Goal In The Liverpool vs Real Madrid Match?

Karim Benzema’s numbers this season are remarkable. He has scored 44 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions, along with 15 assists as well.

His contribution to Madrid’s successes this season has been massive and the Frenchman is only two goals behind Ronaldo’s record for most goals in a single Champions League campaign.

Real Madrid are highly likely to score at least one goal in this game, and the source of their goals has been their talisman Benzema so there is a high possibility of him getting one or more goals against Liverpool.

Will Liverpool Score A Goal In The First Half Against Real Madrid?

Liverpool have been ruthless in front of goal this season. They have scored 30 goals in 12 games in the Champions League so far this season.  They are averaging 2.5 goals per game in Europe in 2021-22, with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah having exceptional seasons.

The majority of the time, Liverpool start their games with a relentless level of pressing and intensity. They aim to suffocate oppositions in their own half and get an early advantage. Most of the time, this works, and they get a goal in the first twenty minutes of the game.

However, this Real Madrid side is mature enough to deal with that kind of pressure and to contain Liverpool during the first fifteen to twenty minutes.

Due to the level of experience and maturity, Real Madrid are likely to defend well against Liverpool. Still, the chances of Liverpool scoring in the first half are high.

Will Real Madrid Score 2 Or More Goals Against Liverpool?

Liverpool’s defensive record this season has been great. However, in the Champions League, it hasn’t been as good as compared to other competitions. They have conceded 1.1 goals per game in the Champions League and have kept just 4 clean sheets in 12 games.

Real Madrid scored three goals in the first leg against Manchester City and three again in the second leg. Liverpool conceded two goals in the second leg to Villarreal but ended up winning the game 2-3.

As talented as Vinicius and Benzema are, Liverpool’s defence is highly unlikely to concede 2 goals in a single game, given their solid backline with Fabinho in front of them.
