FPL: The 5 Best Tottenham Players For Your 2022-23 Season Fantasy Team

Antonio Conte has completely changed the perception of Tottenham. They pounced on the errors of bitter-rivals Arsenal and finished the season in the top 4. Kane and Son’s exploits saw them become the most successful duo in the Premier League.

With Champions League football secured, the club has wasted no time signing players to strengthen the squad. In the second half of the season, Spurs had a fair few players who were high on FPL managers’ wishlist. So let’s have a look at the top 5 FPL assets for your team from Tottenham Hotspur.

5. Djed Spence (£4.5m)

Djed Spence had quite the Championship season last year, from being forced out of his club by manager Neal Warnock for not being “good enough” to become an integral part of Nottingham Forrest’s return to the Premier League. He now has gotten his big move to a top club and looks ready to take this challenge on.

Conte always manages to make stars out of his wingbacks, and Spence is on course to becoming a vital member of this Spurs squad. The only concern is his game time at the start of the season. If he manages to win Conte’s trust and becomes a first-team regular, he could be an excellent differential pick.

4. Dejan Kulusevski (£8.0m)

Kulusevski came in January and took the league by storm, providing some much-needed help for the Son-Kane duo. 5G and 8A in 18 matches show his impact, and the Swede has already become a fan favourite.

He has averaged 0.93 npxG+xA as well as 2 successful dribbles/90. He has also made the RW spot his own and, by the looks of it, is set to keep his position for the foreseeable future. But the addition of Richarlison and other midfielders at the 8.0m price has seen other players be picked over him.

That being said, Kulusevski is still a fantastic pick and could be a key differential pick this season.

3. Ivan Perišić (£5.5m)

Already one of the most popular picks in FPL, Perisic is a part of the “template” FPL starting squad. At 33, he is no spring chicken, but he is a perfect “Conte guy”. He’s been there and done it, won Champions Leagues, League titles, and cups, even winning the Serie A with Conte.

Looking at his stats, we can see precisely why Conte wanted him. 0.37 npxG+xA, 3.4 shot-creating actions, and 6.6 progressive carries show that he is going to be essential for Tottenham this season.

Last season in the Serie A, he got 8G and 6A and played over 2800 minutes. So we are looking at an experienced player still at the peak of his powers, and at 5.5m seems like a very popular pick at the start of the season.

2. Harry Kane(£11.5m)

One of the best strikers in the world, Kane is a safe pick in the front line. Despite being out of form for half the season, Kane finished the season with 17G and 11A and won a total of 192 points. He was ranked the highest for influence, creativity, and threat in FPL’s metrics.

He was one of the few strikers who actually performed well last season. 3.6 shots/90, 1.36 key passes/90, and 2.5 passes into the final third show that Kane is at the peak of his powers. He is a proven asset, and, given time in your team, he is destined to bag you loads of points.

He is also the designated penalty taker making him an even better pick. He will be competing for the golden boot and playmaker Award this season and is already looking sharp in pre-season.

1. Heung-Min Son (£12.0m)

And now Kane’s partner in crime, Son. He is the best Spurs asset going at the moment. Even though his price has gone up 1m, he is still a go-to for many managers. His link-up play, as well as two-footedness, makes him unplayable for defenders and a joy to watch for fans. 23G and 7A saw him take up the role as the goalscorer rather than the provider.

His underlying numbers are almost too good to be true: 0.73 npxG+xA, 3.86 shot-creating actions, and 7.7 progressive passes received. He can shoot from distance, score 1v1s, and tap-ins; basically, he is a killer in front of goal.

He was the joint golden boot winner and will be high on FPL managers’ wishlist so do everything you can to squeeze him into your team.
