“One regular day of Barclays, that’s all I ask for, will never happen,” I think we can all agree with Conte on that one.
Man United hit a new low, Jesus gets 2G and 2A, Conte and Tuchel almost came to blows, and another Premier League Gameweek is in the books.
Now with your FPL points locked in, let’s look at some players who you could sign for Gameweek 3.

5. Marc Cucurella (£5.0m)
£5.0m for a Chelsea wingback is a really good deal. On his debut, Cucurella immediately was causing all sorts of problems for Everton and put in a great ball for Sterling while being a constant threat down the left.
With the 5 sub-rule now, he will get a lot of minutes, and so far, it once again looks like a lot of Chelsea’s goals will come from their backline, so he could be good to add before everyone jumps on the bandwagon.
4. Ben Mee (£4.5m)
This is not me just reacting to him getting 14 points against Man United. He has been integrated into the team and is expected to start for Brentford going forward.
The Bees have a very favourable schedule facing Fulham, Everton, Palace, and Leeds next, and he could get a few clean sheets. He is also a threat in the box and could convert a few set pieces, and at £4.5m, could free up funds for an upgrade elsewhere.
3. Ivan Toney (£7.5m)
As mentioned for Ben Mee, his teammate Toney is one you could consider adding to your frontline. He has good fixtures and could get a few returns, with Eriksen’s departure, he will have to take more of a creative role, so assists are on the cards, he is the designated penalty taker of the club too. He is a good pick as long as you don’t have to sacrifice Jesus or Haaland for him.
2. Kyle Walker (£5.1m)
Despite his price rise, I do believe Kyle Walker would be a solid addition to your backline. He isn’t the most exciting pick as he has operated as an inverted full-back beside Rodri and will likely not provide attacking returns.
But he would be a great pick as a cheaper way to get a Man City defender on your team. His next 4 fixtures are against Newcastle, Palace, Nottingham Forrest, and Villa, so there is a chance he will keep a clean sheet in all 4 matches.
A safe 6 points with the potential of some attacking returns makes him a player you should consider.
1. Rodrigo (£6.1m)
Rodrigo has thrived in his role as the striker in this Leeds team. We know Bamford will be out for a while, and Rodrigo will see a play there despite being a midfielder in the game.
He has 3 goals in 2 games and has been playing really well. Unfortunately, he plays Chelsea next, but if you can hold on, he has really good fixtures after that.
Leeds has always done well going forward, and if you can get him into your team within 2 transfers, he could be a good differential pick.
