Here’s how our picks performed.
Trent Alexander-Arnold – 38 points
We recommended full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold as our first pick amongst defenders. The Liverpool defender was in the thick of the action and ended the game with one assist.
The right-back scored 12 points for the assist, 8 points for passes completed, 12 points for chances created and ended the game with a total of 38 points.
Fabinho – 52 points
We also picked Fabinho as our first Liverpool midfielder pick. The Brazilian ended up on the scoresheet scoring a vital goal for his side to bring them back in the tie.
He racked up 20 points for the goal, 6 points for successful tackles, 12 points for successful duels and scored a total of 52 points.
Luis Diaz – 86 points
Luis Diaz was our primary pick when it came to Liverpool strikers. The new January recruit dazzled after coming on and scored a superb header from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross to put the Reds in a better position to qualify for the final.
Diaz scored 2x points because he came on as a substitute and notched up a total of 86 points, which made him the best pick out of all players from both teams.
If you selected Diaz based on our recommendation, you’re sure to have benefited and scored big points!
Sadio Mane – 75 points
Our second primary pick for Liverpool strikers was AFCON champion Sadio Mane. The Senegalese forward scored a vital third goal for Liverpool running from his own half and rounding the keeper to put the game beyond doubt.
Mane scored 28 points for successful duels, 12 for chances created and 20 for his goal making it a total of 75 points!
Our picks for vice captain were also Mane and Diaz.
Real Madrid vs Manchester City
What a game! Real Madrid unbelievably came back from the dead to equalize in the dying minutes of regular time to take the game into extra time before winning the game.
Our picks for the Real Madrid vs Man City second leg also were valuable picks that performed in line with expectations in the game.

Here’s how our recommended players performed.
Thibaut Courtois – 60 points
We picked Courtois over Ederson based on the amount of shots he would have to save according to the data and analysis of the first leg, and that’s exactly what happened.
We predicted that there would be goals at both ends, but picked Courtois ahead of Ederson based on him facing more shots, which was a right assessment.
The Belgian shotstopper scored 32 points for shots saved, and 20 for long balls, ending the game with a total of 60 points!
Aymeric Laporte – 41 points
We also recommended Laporte as a pick for City defenders based on him starting the game.
We must admit that it was difficult to predict who Pep Guardiola would start in the game because the Catalan boss usually rotates his squad heavily, but we suggested Laporte because he was most likely to start given the injury to John Stones.
The defender scored 12 points for successful duels, and 14 for long balls and ended the game with a respectable 41 points.
We recommend Laporte based on that consistency and he earned a modest return of points.
Dani Carvajal – 39 points
We recommended Dani Carvajal based on his consistency as well. Our analysis of Carvajal’s attacking threat pointed towards him getting an assist going forward and that’s what contrived to happen.
Of course the ball hit Asensio before Rodrygo scored the header but Carvajal’s involvement was critical. Also rather academically, we rightly predicted him picking up a yellow card, but that’s just Dani Carvajal for you.
He scored a total of 39 points and we picked him based on his consistent output defensively and in attack.
Kevin De Bruyne – 55 points
Kevin De Bruyne was vital for Man City in the game until he was on the pitch.
We selected De Bruyne based on his distribution, passing range, attacking threat, and duel success rate, and the Belgian rightly delivered despite not getting a goal or an assist.
It was a tough call between De Bruyne and Mahrez, but we went with De Bruyne because he’s more consistent and is more likely to produce moments of magic.
The Belgian scored 5 points for passes completed, 6 for a shot on target, 12 for successful duels and 18 for chances created, totally scoring 55 points!
Bernardo Silva – 71 points
When it came to midfielders, our pick of Bernardo Silva was an astute one.
The Portuguese midfielder was at the heart of all City’s attacks and he was the main creative force for the Manchester outfit dropping deep and emerging in pockets all over the pitch.
We predicted that Bernardo Silva would register at least one shot on target, which happened, and the midfielder also registered an assist scoring 12 for the assist, 12 for passes completed, 6 for his shot on target, and 18 for successful duels, totally scoring 71 points in the game!
Karim Benzema – 67 points
Of course this pick was a no-brainer.
Benzema has single-handedly carried Real all through this Champions League campaign.
The French striker picked up an assist and a goal and was instrumental in the Real comeback.
He scored a total of 67 points before coming off in extra time and was our pick as captain as well.
