Both Brazilan wingers score to seal 3 points in Madrid’s favour

Real Madrid, once again get the job done without needing the performance to back it up. The duo of Vini and Benzema were sensational with them managing 8 shots, 6 key passes and 3 crosses with the Brazilian having 12 touches in the opposition box.

Betis deserve a lot of credit as they played well and dominated parts of the game, dropping points for the first time this season.

Vinicius opened the scoring in the 9th minute with a beautiful chip over a hapless Rui Silva but Betis drew level just eight minutes later. Segio Canales’ drilled shot went through Courtois‘s legs as Betis began dominating the ball.

Rodrygo once again came in clutch as he scored the winner for Madrid- a first-time shot from Valverde’s cutback saw Madrid take all 3 points

4 games, 4 wins, the only team in the league with a perfect record, onto the next!

Kounde shines as D-L-R dispatches a dreadful Sevilla side

In spite of missing a couple of games due to registration issues, Kounde has taken to Barca seamlessly. Last week he made a sensational goal-line clearance, this week he has only gone and provided two assists.

We’ll see him play at CB soon following Bellerin’s signing, he certainly didn’t look out of place playing there.

Barca opened the scoring with Raphinha nodding home from close range after Lewandowski’s shot was cleared off the line. The Pole then showed his class chesting down Kounde’s cross and scoring a beautiful volley, all in one motion.

Garcia wrapped up the three points with an easy header after Kounde nodded it to him from the back post.

This result sees the Blaugrana go up to 2nd on the table and 2 points behind champions Real Madrid.

Debutant Sadiq’s goal sees Athleti drop points yet again

Umar Sadiq has had a great season already. Putting in an incredible showing against Real Madrid, scoring in the next two games, securing a move to Real Sociadad and then scoring 10 minutes into his debut.

The Nigerian caused all sorts of chaos as soon as he came on in the second half and scored a textbook back post header past Oblak. His debut was almost made sweeter after he chipped Oblak for his second but was ruled offside. A really bright start for Sadiq.

Atleti did make this game exciting as they pushed forward and played attacking football. Morata opened the scoring with a poacher’s finish as the ball fell to him in the box following a corner. He did put the ball in the back of the net again but it was ruled out as Felix had handled the ball in the build up.

Another 2 points dropped as the Los Colchoneros stay 7th.

Best Of The Rest

Villareal’s splendid start to the season continued with a 4-0 win over Elche. Emre’s men are now the only team in the top 5 leagues yet to concede a goal. 4 games, 4 cleansheets so far. 2 goals either half was enough to propel the Yellow Submarines up to 3rd in the table.

Valencia bounced back after 2 back to back losses with a 5-1 battering of Getafe. The American, Yunus Musah shone in midfield, providing two assists. Gattuso’s team had the game wrapped up by the hour mark before Gaston Alvarez scored a consolation goal. The game ended with both teams down to 10 men as Moriba and Arambarri both saw red for late challenges.
